In Umbria and particularly at Marfuga, growing olives has always had a significance that exceeds its agronomical and economic value.

Therefore, promoting its appreciation and increasing awareness in the people operating in this field as well as the consumers is a task that regards not only the quality of our product, but of the entire system.

This is palpable as one walks around the beautiful holiday farm or among the 12.000 olive trees, mostly Moraiolo cultivar, and becomes flagrant when visiting the oil mill: the "frantoio" is no longer just the place where olives are pressed but a venue in which to welcome the consumer.

In fact, the MARFUGA project aims to highlight the importance of Umbria, especially of Campello sul Clitunno, with the production of what Francesco likes to call “EXTREME OILS”.

Extravirgin olive oils borne through hard work, sweat and effort, produced in geographically impervious areas, planted on tiny patches of land stolen from mountains, rocks and forests.

Extraordinary extravirgin olive oils with a history, rare oils (sometimes only a few thousand bottles are produced) and precious oils, appreciated by those who truly love authentic extravirgin olive oils, fruity and fragrant, with an unmistakable oil flavour,  decisively grassy with dominating hints of artichoke and unripe almond.
